The Open Prosthetics Project is producing useful innovations in the field of prosthetics and freely sharing the designs. This project is an open source collaboration between users, designers and funders with the goal of making our creations available for anyone to use and build upon. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is the application of variable magnetic fields to the brain. Research has indicated that rTMS (repeating TMS pulses, or repetitive TMS) may have effects as diverse as treatment of depression, pain releif, feelings of euphoria or fear, and altered states of consciousness such as out-of-body experiences.
